The idea to open a comprehensive e-store featuring reusable, natural, sustainable, organic, eco-responsible goods for hip, cosmopolitan moms was the product of the 16 weeks Robin spent on bedrest while pregnant with her first child. Online, Robin discovered eco-parenting products that were easy to use, easy on the pocketbook and easy on the planet, but not available in the big box retail stores. Knowing most moms don't have hundreds of hours to research, cost compare or shop online like she did, Robin sought to bring the very best green gear together in one place, making it easier for busy urban parents to incorporate cost effective eco-solutions into their lifestyle. Originally opened as Modern Mommy Gear, Robin decided to expand the store to better serve her customer base. eco-POLITAN was born!

eco-POLITAN is a female owned business in the Metro Denver area. Robin is a Lakewood resident, graduate of Green Mountain High School ('92) and the University of Colorado at Boulder ('96). She is the Green Parenting examiner for Jefferson County on www.examiner.com, and publishes an eco-blog on www.modernmommygear.blogspot.com. Wife to Paul (GMHS '89 and CU '93) and mother to Levi Bentley (b. 2007) and Bianca Blu (b. 2009), Robin is active in the community and local and online moms clubs.
