Cutiepoops Pocket Cloth Diaper

I have made a pocket diaper! I use a super soft suede cloth for the inner layer next to the skin. My insert is microfiber. I used a urethane coated nylon ripstop for the waterproof layer which is hidden. I made a large slit for the inserts to go in which is big enough for my hubby to stuff them too. I cover the slit with a flap so that it keeps the insert off the skin. I even add a waterproof grab tab on the inside on the front panel so that I can have something not covered in pee to hold on to when I'm spraying off the diaper. I make mine with either hook and loop or snaps. When my baby was little I could use hook and loop, but as he got older I had to switch to snaps so that he couldn't rip the diapers off and run around streaking!

For anyone making their own diapers I suggest taking your time. Don't be in a rush to get it finished. You don't want to spend all that time and have the diaper not work out. Also try out several different styles. Just like disposables, not every diaper will fit every baby and work the same. I changed my pattern so many times before I got it just perfect! Also research the best materials to use, don't scrimp on fabrics. It may cost more for better fabrics but they will work the best.
